❝Art is not a thing, It is a way❞
-Elbert Hubbard
Art. Such an indescribable word. Yet, it is such a powerful word which embeds far-reaching meanings. I may see art from contemporary dances to Michelangelo's fresco or Picasso' s paintings passing through The Misérables of Victor Hugo. Everything is Art and Art is Everything. It is a way. From my personal perspective, it is a way for us, human full of imagination and fantasies, to express our deepest feelings and emotions. However, everyone has his/her own perception of art. But for me, as long as it represents the outcome of successive reflections, it is an Art. Skilled or not, everyone has the ability to conjure up something. It is all about the way how we show it. I am convinced that everyone is unconsciously an Artist.
❝Happy are the painters, for they shall not be lonely. Light and colour, peace and hope, will keep them company to the end of the day❞
-Winston Churchill
What a beautiful quote! Everything is ephemeral. No one should be dependent from anything. That is being said, I would never say that we will never need help. But we should not be dependent. Everyone should build his/her own happiness and find out what really inspires them in this long journey in Earth. Most of the time it is not obvious but the more we live, the more we find out what really interest us little by little . With time, we learn to live in peace and joy . Through painting, I have discovered another passion. I found out myself in this citation of Winston Churchill. When I am painting, I am escaping from the boredom and stress of this modern World in which I am suffocating. I keep company to myself, dived into my own imagination.
❝Have no fear of perfection-You’ll never reach it❞
-Salvador Dali
I am keen on creating and developing ideas. I love to sculpt and to conceptualize my imagination. Make them real. I am very painstaking in everything I undertake. With this way of working, I used to seek for “Perfection” all the time. But later, life made me realize that nothing is perfect. That is fine. Striving for perfection was a kind of barrier for me to achieve and reach my goal. How come? Well, keeping in mind that you will never be good enough holds oneself from achieving a goal. Besides, what is “Good”? What is “Perfection”? These are subjective notions and they have unlimited definitions. For me, you did a good job when you are fully satisfied and you are the most perfect person you have ever met when you are proud of yourself, of what you have achieved. However, what is good for one may not for another one. Thus, all should matter for you is you.
It is the same thing with Art. People may have different opinions about your work but if you are satisfied and proud of it, you have reached your personal perfection. There is no need to hide little details which others may judge “imperfections”.
